Company Introduction
Hunan Xiangchuan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. and Changsha Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. belong to one factory with two brands. Established in 1950, it is now a state-owned enterprise directly under the Changsha Transportation Group and is the largest key steel structure and shipbuilding production base in Hunan Province. Our factory has first-class II production qualifications for various types of coastal and inland river vessels, Class A design qualifications, as well as design and manufacturing qualifications for pressure vessels and first-level contracting qualifications for steel structures. We currently have more than 600 employees, including 8 senior engineers, 38 with intermediate titles, and over 150 junior titles and various technical personnel. It is a designated manufacturer for military vessels under the Ministry of National Defense of the People's Liberation Army and was also a key local manufacturer for shipbuilding under the former Ministry of Machinery Industry. We have received multiple commendations from the Military Commission and in 2011 were designated as a ship repair and construction factory by the Ministry of National Defense Science and Industry, the Hunan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and the Command of the Hunan Provincial Military District of the People's Liberation Army.
Our factory has strong technical strength, complete production facilities, advanced manufacturing processes, a rigorous testing system, and a sound quality assurance system. The largest super-luxury "Norwegian Cruise" in the province was built by our factory. The 271I-type landing craft currently serving the navy and army, as well as the 074 landing craft serving the stationed troops, were all built by our factory. Since obtaining the steel structure contracting qualification, we have produced and installed multiple steel pedestrian bridges, completed the construction of the steel box girder for the Wanjiali rapid transformation project, the Wanjiali Road Liuyang River Bridge (which won the Luban Award), and the construction of the Zhanghua Expressway across the Mengdong River in Yizhang, Chenzhou, all of which received unanimous praise from the owners. It is the only large state-owned enterprise in Hunan Province that builds and processes steel structure bridges.
