On the morning of August 21, 2024, the "Xiangjinhe 318" oil tanker successfully held its launching ceremony at the slipway area of Changsha Guokong Group Hunan Xiangchuan Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. Leaders from Hunan Jinhe Petroleum Industry Co., Ltd., Hanshou County Hongda Waterway Transportation Service Co., Ltd., Jinhe Company Water Transport Branch, and the Changsha Inspection Office of China Classification Society Wuhan Branch attended the ceremony.
The ship started construction on August 4, 2023, with a length of 88 meters, a width of 16.20 meters, a depth of 5.45 meters, and a deadweight of 3,500 tons, primarily transporting gasoline and diesel. The entire liquid cargo hold area adopts a double bottom, double side, and deck with raised pits longitudinal frame structure, while the engine room and bow and stern areas use a single bottom single deck transverse frame alternating support structure, with very high technical requirements. It is the largest main scale vessel for bulk cargo ships, chemical tankers, and oil tankers on the Yangtze River tributaries, and this ship will be classified by China Classification Society (CCS). Currently, all processes and technical indicators completed for this oil tanker have passed inspection and achieved excellent results.
It is reported that Xiangchuan Heavy Industry and the shipowner Hunan Jinhe Petroleum Industry Co., Ltd. have reached a deep strategic cooperation in various fields such as domestic transportation ship manufacturing. The successful launching of this ship marks the beginning of the outfitting stage, and also signifies a solid step forward for our shipbuilding sector in expanding new ship types and new business. After delivery, this ship will provide strong support for oil transportation work in Hunan Province.
